  After the initial shock of my mother passing away I had make the decision to cremate or not. She never shared her wishes with me but the cost of a standard burial was just too onerous. After researching online cremations in South Florida and Fort Lauderdale, I called several places and then visited Guiding Light in person. After my visit there my girlfriend and I felt the facility was state of the art, well decorated and professionally run. They also were very patient while I asked questions and talked price and value. While there were other services that were either a bit lower or significantly higher in the price, I felt what was most important was that things were going to be handled properly including proper policies and procedures in place where I didn't have to worry about how my mother was going to be handled and was of course affordable and fair. That piece of mind was worth every penny. Geronimo was excellent at following up and they handled everything that needed to be done. What I found different about Guiding Light was that they do offer you the ability for a viewing right there in the facility. They handle the presentation and did an amazing job. I can't even explain how I felt when I saw my mother for the last time, with such an amazingly peaceful look prior to the final process. They made the last time I saw her something that brought peace to me in a way that's hard to explain. So I'm writing this long review because of how impressed I was overall. While all of us might shop around, my advice if you are reading this going through what I did is to consider what's most important to you. For me, it was that things were done correctly, that I not feel that I sacrificed anything for price (yet paid a fair price) and overall have peace of mind that I made the right choice. Obviously I am writing this review because I felt I did and wanted to share my experience to help you in your decision whatever it may be.

  Very professional as well as kind and understanding at this difficult time.
  They were there for me with all my questions and treated me with the utmost respect.
  My Mother had passed away and her wishes were to be cremated. The whole office was exceptional in every way.
  They helped to make the process of her passing easier on me.
  I greatly appreciate them.
