  My Mom passed 2 yrs ago and we were in a bind with money. Her death was unexpected. She didnt even know she had cancer. To the point we chose them do to are money issue. However the whole family couldnt even say goodbye to our Mom because of money issue. It was $100 per person just to see her for 30 mins and they made sure they let you know when them 30mins were up. I asked for a scissors to cut some of my Moms hair off and the black guy working there insisted he do it and i said i wanted to do it. No one is gonna tell me i cant cut some of my Moms hair. So i did it myself. The whole visit was very bad. The urn they put her ashes in was even worse.

  We chose Genesis because they are cheap. The place is run down but that wasn't important to us. We were only there for a cremation. The process went OK, until we reviewed the death certificates. Finding several mistakes, and contacting Genesis, they accepted no responsibility (even though Lisa made a mistake in the email she sent claiming no mistakes were made!) and expect us to pay IN FULL for another set.
  
  If you need a cheap cremation - use them. But, be darn sure you have copies of everything they write down. And - do not make corrections over the phone. Everyone makes mistakes - it takes an honest person to accept responsibility. The folks at Genesis are not those persons.

  They were wonderful to work with, Paul, the funeral director help my mother and with the process of planning the memorial for my father very quick and easy and was very straight forward with us. The place itself is really nice and well arranged

  They were great dealing with family when my sister-in-law passed and then 5 months later when my brother passed.

  I am not happy with the service I have received, although the initial process was easy and Paul was great. I feel like I have been getting blown off every time I call for the ashes of my grandmother. I was told 7-10 business days, I called on day 7 and was told the death cert would be signed that day and the process should be finished within a couple of days. Here we are (The 12th business day) I called to get status and was told it would be ready Monday. When I asked "what was the hold up" the lady then attempted to explain to me that holidays do not count for business days. When I informed her that it is business day 12 taking in to account for the holidays her response was "well it will be ready Monday". I normally do not take the time to write reviews but the service that is being provided is SUB PAR. Someone should be reaching out to the families when their loved ones ashes have been delayed a week or two.
