  The recent loss of my mother has been very traumatic I am on the west coast and had no idea what to do but everyone at this funeral home was kind, helpful and very compassionate, they walked me through the process and made this time in my life so much easier , I am truly grateful for everyone there you truly have amazing people that work there, they definitely are in the profession! I would give you 10 stars if I could. Thank you.

  My cousin passed away in May. I live in CT and was unaware of funeral homes in Fort Lauderdale; and so I prayed. Not by coincidence, my prayers led me to the Fred Hunter Funeral Home, and to Doreena Medina. From the first moment we spoke, I could hear the compassion in her voice, listening patiently, to my never-ending questions and concerns. Each time we spoke thereafter, (too many to count), I felt a sense of calmness knowing that I was led to the most wonderful funeral home and funeral director. Doreena has all the qualities that families should look for when burying a loved one. She was first and foremost compassionate, as I stated above, professional, knowledgeable about every topic I inquired about (again, too many to mention), and I deeply appreciated the reassurance I received from her each time we spoke. When we finally met face to face, Doreena was exactly the way I had pictured her. Her spirit filled the room and a sense of calmness came over my husband and I at once. I am most grateful to this outstanding funeral home and to Doreena.

  Fred-Hunter's Funeral Home made the whole process as painless as possible when planning a funeral. We NEVER felt pressured to add any items to our service that we did not want. They make is as easy as possible from the planning, to choices of flowers, to evening providing catering services in their community center. Doreena M. was amazing. She has been there for me and my family from the moment that I contacted them, evening calling me to obtain information so paperwork was completed prior to our meeting. It also gave me comfort to know that my loved one was not being sent to another facility for cremation and he was in their loving hands the entire time. In South Florida, there is an abundance of choices when it comes to funeral homes and services, but I will definitely be utilizing their services again when the need arises.

  Fred Hunter handled my sister's funeral and they were exceptional with every aspect of the planning and the actual service. Andrea Buzzo assisted my family with all the preparations. She went above and beyond our expectations when it came to making this difficult time easier on my family, especially my elderly Father. Her kind nature and her sensitivity was greatly appreciated during the planning stage. She was extremely helpful in guiding my family to make the best plans for my sister and our family. The team at Fred Hunter was very sincere and professional and made sure every detail was perfect.

  My family and I cannot thank Zach and Paige for all their help, time, support and understanding during our very difficult time of the loss of 2 family members in 6 months. They were extremely patient with us and guided us in making all the decisions and plans that needed to be taken care of. They made the process easier as we were able to depend on them for all the details. This has been the most difficult time in our family along with tragedy and broken hearts. We cannot thank you enough and they will hold a special place dear to us due to the job they did at this time in our lives.
